Suppressed adsorption of high boiling point components
Measures components of boiling points up to C36 (n-Hexatriacontane). Because the transfer line between the thermal desorption unit and GCMS-QP2010 is short and the temperature distribution in the line is uniform, high boiling point components are not easily adsorbed or decomposed.
Linking to GCMSsolution
The TD-20 allows 48 sample tubes to be set, and operates interlocked with GCMSsolution batch processing. Settings for continuous analyses, or repeat analyses are easy. Because it is possible to continuously analyze while changing the analytical conditions, it is easy to determine analytical conditions.
Supports electronic control of carrier gas
Employs the GC-2010 AFC (Advanced Flow Controller) for carrier gas control so settings for flow rate and split ratios can be easily reproduced from the GCMSsolution software. Pressure programs and split ratio programs can also be used.
Electronic cooling method and all electromotive method
The TD-20 employs a high-performance electronic Peltier cooling trap to allow temperature settings down to 50˘XC below room temperature, enabling highly volatile components to be trapped. Compared to methods using coolants such as liquid nitrogen, running costs are lower and handling is easier. Valve drive is motorized so there is no need to prepare compressed air.
Easy sample handling and maintenance
The TD-20 sample tubes are sealed at both ends so no ghost peaks are generated even when sample tubes are physically touched. Even when any part of the unit is contaminated from measuring a high concentration sample, only parts contacting the gas can be individually replaced. This translates to less time required for recovery of the system.
